Branding is a key element to success in the real estate industry. When establishing a brand, there are a few key elements and platforms that can be used to create a cohesive feeling and keep clients and peers engaged and up-to-date with your work. 

Hosting classes or events 

Hosting classes and events is a great way to stay relevant to your clients and peers. Whether it’s an educational course or a client appreciation happy hour, bringing people together (whether virtually or in-person) is a great way to establish your brand and let people get to know you on a personal level. 

Social Media

Social media is key to branding in today’s technological world. Consider making graphics with a set color palette or logo in an easy-to-use platform like canva to give your pages a cohesive feeling. You don’t have to have every channel, but LinkedIn and Facebook can be especially useful to growing your brand. In addition to posting events, relevant industry news, and company updates, this also allows people another avenue to get in touch with you easily through messaging. Regular posting on social media can show people you are active, engaged, educated and interested in the real estate industry.

Blogging and Newsletters

If you have a lot of information you want to share, or want to start a list of helpful tips and educational topics, a blog or newsletter is the way to go. Integrating a blog into your website is easy, provides content for social media, and lets your personality shine through. 

Blogs don’t have to be an everyday event either – one per month or every other week is a good way to get started. Share updates as the seasons and market change, stay up to date with trends, and share what you think your audience needs to know. 

Newsletters are similar – weekly or biweekly or even monthly is a good pace for these emails, and topics can cover anything from events and classes to industry tips. Both of these choices allow people to stay in touch, keep you in front of mind, and allow people to see more personality. 


Video performs well on social media and is another way to grab attention and show off your personality and creativity. When presented on social media, videos should remain fairly short, but need to convey all the relevant information and topics clearly and concisely.
